Three ways in, one intention
Somatic bodywork for Roseville, Rocklin & beyond
Every session blends these approaches based on what your body needs that day. You don't have to pick one. You just have to show up.
01
Myofascial Release
Slow, sustained pressure that lets restricted fascia soften on its own terms.
Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps every muscle, organ and nerve. When it tightens from injury, stress or repetitive posture, it can pull on the body far from where you feel it.
Myofascial release uses slow, sustained pressure and gentle stretch, held long enough for tissue to respond rather than resist. It is not about forcing anything; it is about waiting for the body to let go.
Often helpful for
- Chronic neck, shoulder and low back tension
- Restricted range of motion
- Postural strain from desk work, driving or parenting
- Areas that "never seem to release" with regular massage
02
Therapeutic Massage
Intentional, customized bodywork that meets you exactly where you are today.
Every session begins with a conversation about what your body is carrying. From there, Amy blends techniques to address the specific tension you came in with, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
Pressure is always collaborative. You will be checked in with, and you can ask for more, less, or different at any time.
Often helpful for
- Muscle tension and soreness
- Recovery from activity, training or long workweeks
- Headaches tied to neck and jaw tension
- General stress relief
03
Nervous System Support
Somatic, regulating touch that helps your body remember it is safe to rest.
When the nervous system lives in fight-or-flight, muscles stay braced no matter how much they are worked on. Somatic bodywork addresses the pattern underneath the tension.
Through pacing, breath, grounding holds and attentive touch, sessions support a shift toward the rest-and-digest state where real repair happens.
Often helpful for
- Stress, overwhelm and feeling "wired but tired"
- Shallow breathing and clenched jaw or shoulders
- Trouble fully relaxing or sleeping
- Reconnecting with your body after a hard season
